The Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering admission procedure for 2019 is expected to begin by March 2019 and conclude by the end of July. The Dayananda Sagar admission is through state and national level common entrance tests. One of them is the CET, the Entrance Test conducted by the Karnataka Government. Another one is COMEDK, which refers to the entrance test organized by the ‘Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka’. The minimum eligibility criteria for the undergraduate programs (B.E.) offered at the Institute of Technology & Management is 10+2 or equivalent pass certificate with Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics as major subjects with an aggregate of 45% in each of the majors and one of the subjects of Biology or Computer Science or Electronics.
For B.Tech programs offered at the College of Engineering as undergraduate degrees, the mandatory subjects are Physics and Mathematics with any one of Biotechnology/ Chemistry/ Electronics/ Computer Science or Biology.The aggregate marks required will be 45% in the above subjects (with 40% for students applying under the SC/ST and OBC categories).
Admission criteria for postgraduate, M.Tech programs include a B.Tech/B.E. or equivalent degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST and OBC category) and clearing the admission test conducted by the University with a good score.The University gives first preference to candidates with a valid GATE score and then to rank holders from the Universities.
A Master’s degree or equivalent from any university recognized is mandatory for Ph.D. admission. Both Masters and Ph.D. programs require the candidates to appear for a written selection test. Those who clear the test will be asked to appear for a personal interview. The admission confirmation will depend on the interview performance.
Direct admission in Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering Bangalore is possible by application under the Management Quota. The minimum eligibility for admission under this quota is aggregate marks of 50%.
